Initial Specifications for Our Community

Today, Barley Mill Commons is just a concept.  OK, call it a dream. But it is an idea many of us will be ready for in just a few more years.  If you would like to get in on this concept as early as possible, please contact us so we can discuss it further.  We are still a few years away and welcome co-founders to participate in the planning of the community

Our initial specs for the community are as follows:

30 to 100 acres for the entire community
20 to 50 acres of common space
10 to 50 wooded lots of 0.8 acres or larger
Common space will include:
Wooded walking trails that run adjacent to all lots
The Mill Pond
The Barley Mill Inn
The Barley Mill Inn will be the community owned brewery and gathering place that provides:
Outside, picnic area next to the Mill Pond
Authentic operational waterwheel
Ground floor "pub" area for shared activities and year round private parties
Ground floor state of the art 15 gallon brewery for use by all community home owners
Two second floor bedrooms for community members to reserve when they have too many "house" guests.

If Barley Mill Commons sounds like a place where you might want to live, please email us and share your thoughts and suggestions.  Better yet, complete our on-line survey so we can get your input concerning a number of community related questions.  This will be very valuable to us in planning and developing the community.  After all, we believe this is the world's first home brewing community, so we have nowhere to go for advice except to you!  Of course there is no obligation, we just really want your thoughts about this concept.
